JAGS Parent Talk: Emma Gleadhill (SOLD OUT)
How to down-regulate from anxious states… A practical session exploring psychologically informed techniques for managing your mind.
Anxiety is a fact of life, and we all move up and down the spectrum of anxiety in response to circumstance and situation. The ability of the parent to self-regulate and show up for their child in a responsive and attuned way is one of the leading ways in which our parenting can act to strengthen their wellbeing. This webinar will help you improve your own emotional agility when triggered, enable to you co-regulate with your teenage daughter better, and teach her ways in which she can also down-regulate from anxious states.
You will leave with a menu of strategies that use the brain-body connection to down-regulate from anxious states when they arise.
• Down-regulating from extremely anxious states.
• Emotional agility and calming practices in the receptive zone.
• Deeper relaxation techniques.
