Balance and Motor Control Course London

B&MC is a 2-day clinical reasoning course that blends together the best bits of movement neuroscience, neuroplasticity, motor control theory, musculoskeletal, vestibular and neurorehabilitation knowledge - and applies it to human balance! We know that balance is fundamental to human motor behaviour and performance. This unique professional development course draws upon a diverse selection of information from neuroscientific and clinical evidence to provide very useful clues for any clinician working in any area of physical rehabilitation.

Associate Professor James McLoughlin is passionate about providing practical information that is both relevant and entertaining. James is a clinical academic with degrees in both physiotherapy (UniSA) and clinical neuroscience (UCL, Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London). James also completed a PhD (UNSW, Neuroscience Research Australia) investigating gait, balance & fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis. He has extensive clinical experience in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation, including Clinical Specialist at St Georges, London (2003-2005) and Director of Advanced Neuro Rehab in Australia. James is well known as a dynamic and stimulating clinical teacher.

This refreshing course allows participants to explore a deeper level of knowledge on balance and motor control before further advancing their practice in many areas of physical rehabilitation. Future Advanced B&MC courses will collaborate with several exciting presenters to cover a number of practical areas of advanced practice in sports, vestibular, neurological and aged care.
