Ampleforth Abbey Orchard
Ampleforth Abbey is a Benedictine monastery located on the edge of the North Yorks Moors National Park. For more than 200 years the monks of Ampleforth have been growing apples in the Orchards. Primarily this was to feed the community and the school, but as the years went by the supply of apples started to overtake the demand. They are now used to make our award winning cider.
We offer guided tours of the orchard where you will have the opportunity learn more about the cider and sample it!

A familiarisation trip to Ampleforth for local business providers. The visit is completely free of charge, and will encompass a wide range of exciting visitor experiences from cider tasting to an abbey tour, to demonstrate what Ampleforth has to offer.

Ampleforth Lourdes Carol Service 2019

The biennial FOALS (Friends of Ampleforth Lourdes Sick) Carol Service will this year be held at Ampleforth Abbey on 1st December. The Service will be followed by drinks and canapes.
Proceeds from the Carol Service will contribute towards the Lourdes pilgrimage; an annual pilgrimage for the sick and disabled, hosted by monks, pupils, families and friends of Ampleforth Abbey.
